Meet the tour guide at the meeting point in front of the Rio Othon Palace Hotel. Get the public transportation to go to Downtown Rio for the start of the tour. Begin with a trip to the past by visiting places from the Colonial times, then pass through the Imperial Era and finish at the Republic. Enjoy the historical facts, the architecture, the small details in every building and find something new in every corner. Some of the places visited are the XV November Square (Praça XV de Novembro), the Candelaria Church (Igreja da Candelária), the Cultural Center of Bank of Brazil (CCBB) and the Cinelandia Square (Cinelândia). The tour guide explains the important historical moments of Brazil and gives tips about the nice places to visit that only locals know about.
At the end of the tour, get the instructions about how to come back to the original meeting point. Or stay to enjoy the places a little bit more.
